About me

Woman of faith, wife, mom, Grammy and crafter

The title section of this page notes that I’m a woman of faith, a wife, a mom, a Grammy and a crafter.  While I love to craft, that descriptor is at the end of the list because while it’s important to me and how I spend my time, it’s the least important role I have. With a husband of almost 49 years, 4 children, 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, family plays a huge role in my life. Above all that, though, is my faith in God. Without God, I am nothing. With Him, I can do things I’d never imagined.

My first exposure to Stampin’ Up! came through a friend at church. She invited me to come make cards one evening and I was hooked! I had been scrapbooking for just a couple of years at that time, so I found cards to be a great use of some of the design principles I’d garnered along the way. And a real plus for me was the ability to complete cards more quickly than a scrapbook page.  While I still apply my creativity to both, I do more card-making now than I do scrapbooking. Also, the joy of establishing and fostering more solid connections with others by sending out cards regularly is priceless.

Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue 2024-2025

After joining the monthly group making cards, I quickly fell in love with the quality of Stampin’ Up! card stock, Designer Series Papers and coordinating inks.  As my eyes have aged, my ability to discern color differences has drastically decreased so I particularly appreciate the coordination of colors in the Stampin’ Up! line of products.

I decided to join Stampin’ Up! in January of 2021 as a discount shopper. After all, I was retired, in my later 60’s, and very active with family and in the church community, so I certainly wasn’t interested in anything like a business. But then God started stirring things up and …

And here I am – working this as a business since the fall of ’21 (but with a long COVID break immediately after launching). I’m having a blast! I’m learning new things all the time and enjoying another whole community of crafters and card-makers. I’d love to welcome you to join our community of crafters!
