Easter is early this year, arriving at the end of March, so it’s definitely time to move on making those Easter Cards. Whether you prefer cards with a religious or bunnies and eggs vibe, Stampin’ Up! has choices to meet your needs.
Today’s live featured an Easter Card that combined elements from several different sources within Stampin’ Up! Both the current mini catalog and the Annual Catalog contributed elements to today’s card. Let’s take a look at this card that utilized the stamp set Easter Bunny and Designer Series Paper Fresh as a Daisy.
Create the focal point
The Easter Bunny stamp set contributed the cute bunny which we stamped on Basic White and colored with Stampin’ Blends markers before punching it out with the Easter Bunny Punch. A Modern Oval punched from Basic White was colored with Copper Clay ink using a blending brush to be used behind the bunny to add contrast.
Assemble the Easter Card
We used Boho Blue to create a horizontal standard card base of 5 1/2 x 11, scored at 4 1/4. A piece of the Fresh as a Daisy paper was cut from a collage-printed sheet and backed with Basic White to give it some pop. With the card base, backer sheet and Designer series paper layered as shown in the picture, the Copper Clay Modern oval was attached flat. The bunny was placed on the oval using dimensionals.
The Stylish Shapes Dies contributed the sentiment strip of Basic White on which we stamped “Happy Easter” then attached with dimensionals. Inside we placed a Basic White layer stamped with the message “God is GOOD” from the Easter Lilies Stamp set.
