A shoe-box swap card
I was really excited to get together with a great group of North Carolina demonstrators in the Raleigh area this past weekend! One of the great activities planned was a “shoe box swap” which was so much fun! Before the swap, each participant designed a card then made kits with all the pieces to duplicate that card (usually 10 kits or so). I brought my kits in – you guessed it! – a shoe box. I thought I’d share with you my design process in pictures!
I chose the Country Floral Lane Suite as the basis for my design.

First I chose which papers I would use. Next, I got to work on some basic white card stock for the base by using my paper trimmer to cut the card stock and designer papers to size. I punched out the hearts and leaves from one sheet of the designer paper. The Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels were a perfect choice for a bit of shine and sparkle.

Assembly Steps
First, I assembled the “big card” portion:

Next, I assembled the “little card” portion.
